FAQ

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Arab Network for Non-Governmental Organizations launched the Arab Climate Forum for the first time in 2022, in cooperation with the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) and a number of regional and international organizations, with the aim of enhancing efforts to combat climate change. Its name was later changed to the Arab Forum for Land and Climate.

The Arab Forum for Land and Climate aims to assess the negative impacts of the climate crisis, strengthen the role of all stakeholders in addressing it, and focus on the most prominent issues facing the Arab region, such as desertification, drought, sea level rise, and others.

The first edition of the Arab Forum for Land and Climate was held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, while the second edition was hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and the third edition took place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
